Ross Holmes, P.Eng., an owner and geotechnical engineer has over 9 years’ experience coordinating and implementing geotechnical and environmental drilling programs throughout British Columbia.
Mr. Holmes is a registered professional engineer in the province of British Columbia and has managed drilling projects for operating mines, mineral exploration, geotechnical hazard assessments, run-of-river hydroelectric, wind farms, highway infrastructure, bridges, soil and rock slope stabilization, dike design and construction, land development feasibility studies, municipal infrastructure, and various commercial and residential clients.
Mr. Holmes is the internal project manager for all of VanMars large drilling projects.
Lance Van Kessel, an owner and driller, has over 10 years experience in the environmental and geotechnical drilling industry. Lance has worked as a full-time driller since he was 18 years old.
In the past several years Lance also worked as the environmental coordinator for a large hydro-vac operation.
Lance has extensive knowledge of drilling, and drilling equipment, as well as has significant experience with numerous drilling methods including auger, odex, mud rotary, sonic, etc.
Christopher (Cody) Marskell, an owner and driller, has over 12 years’ experience in the environmental, geotechnical, and diamond drilling industry. Mr. Marskell has worked as a full-time driller since he was 18 years old and has drilled throughout North and Central America. Having an owning partner committed to drilling operations is viewed as a key asset to VanMars success.
Mr. Marskell also has significant experience and knowledge of numerous drilling methods including auger, diamond drilling, odex, mud rotary, sonic, etc.
Mr. Marskell is the company’s lead driller and the face of VanMars on site.
